The Pathways to Health Equity for Aboriginal Peoples (Pathways) initiative aims to develop the evidence base in how to design, offer, implement and scale-up programs and policies that promote health and health equity in four priority areas: suicide prevention, tuberculosis, diabetes/obesity and oral health.
The second Pathways Annual Gathering will bring together researchers and Indigenous community partners to discuss progress of research in these areas.
Objectives
- To provide a shared understanding of the Pathways Initiative and to encourage respect for and inclusion of Indigenous ways of knowing in the work of the funded projects and participating partners.
- To facilitate partnership development and relationship building between new and existing partners in the Pathways initiative and Pathways Implementation Research Teams.
- To enable cross-learning, knowledge exchange and mentorship among those engaged across Pathways funding opportunities.
- To support networking and community building among researchers, community members, partners, and other stakeholders engaged with the Pathways initiative.
