Supporting the next generation of Indigenous health researchers

As Federal Health Minister, I'm committed to working collaboratively with First Nations, Inuit and Métis communities to reduce health inequities that they experience.

This is why I'm pleased to announce an important investment of 8 million dollars towards the Indigenous Mentorship Network associated with the Canadian Institutes of Health Research.

This network is going to create opportunities to mentor Indigenous Peoples who are considering a career in health research.

The Government of Canada is proud to support training and the establishment of mentoring activities so that all Canadians can reach their full potential.
