Biography
Michal Juhas is a biomedical researcher specializing in digital health, precision medicine, and mental health and addictions. He has completed a PhD in Psychiatry at the University of Alberta and BSc in Physiology (honours) and Pharmacology and Therapeutics (minor) at McGill University. His research focused on structural and functional neuroimaging changes during recovery from alcohol use disorder. Michal has also worked on several other research projects related to Veteran mental health, aging, mobile health technologies, harm reduction strategies, North and rural communities, and program evaluations. He has served as a strategic advisor and technical interoperability expert to several government organizations and working groups on data governance, cross-border health services, health professions, and international standards and regulations. He currently serves as a board member of an accredited health and social services organization and a national digital health standards association. Michal has also served as an adjudicator and a member of a provincial tribunal and a regional review panel.
